Right, as this thing was my idea, I figured I should probably kick things off.

If we use this thread to discuss possible inductees into the Hall of Fame, and then have separate threads which detail those people inducted.

As an example I believe we should have league and cup winners, services to ZIM and those who are no longer with us!

Discuss!

I would definitely include squeaks, as he has constantly been at the top of Div.I, but you must not forget about phibeon manager of Dreams, even though he is no longer here he did win the first Zim div.I title.

Matt for his cup wins and his amazing work with the NT..

All four of those managers fully deserve to be in the hall of fame in my opinion.

My thinking is that we should get several nominees, then on round 16 induct 4 managers into Hall of Fame (based on a poll) based on this being the end of the 4th season of ZIM.

What do you think?

Well Im gonna propose both Yaya and Sean in addition to those above, due to the work they did in the first season in ZIM which attracted a lot of us to make the move over here.

Whilst I agree that everyone mentioned are good candidates, we should probably only induct one manager per season, otherwise the honour of being nominated will become diluted.

So putting 4 in at the end of the season fits perfectly.

My nomination would be Sean, for his work in season 9. His constant bombarding of the clubrooms raised my awareness of Zim and made me decide to come here. I think that could also be said for a few other managers too.

yer too many dilutes its really . Too make it worth more we need the competitont o be tight . So 4 nominees and a poll .Manager with the most votes inducted . We can increase the number of inductees a season once the manager base grows

I feel there is one manager who has been left out here and fully deserves to be in the hall of fame:

Mark. I wont say all of the stuff he has done (can wait to be written in the hall of fame Smile ).

But he really has been the glue that holds Zim together at times.. and im sure everyone is familiar with just what and how much he has done to boost Zim to where it stands at the moment.

When do you plan to propose these in the clubrooms Muzza? Or is this something that is just going to be done on the offsite.

I think
Mattt- For his work with our NT which cn only be described as great not only in results but also getting us all into gear with training and of course the shiny trophies are cool, and also he is a major force at club level Razz

Mark- For basically being a part of everything that is happening in Zim all the time without loss, that deserves some credit!

Squeeks- As someone said above for his consistent destroying of everyone in Division 1 which has been true for the past 2/3 seasons now

Ok lads, its time for nominations for this season's inductee into the hall of fame. There will only be one inductee, but the more nominations we get the better. Remember this is for achievements/contribution over the season and not just for this season.

Nominations will be open for two weeks, with voting in week 16.

With this in mind, I will kick the nominations off with:

Markharrison - don't really need to go into detail, just to say he is involved in everything

Mark needs to be there too for sheer effort and dedication. Always available and accessible. Great role model about how to get involved with the NT set up

I think Mark, the amount of time he spends here is unbeliveveable. Back bone of zim imo. So I'm saying mark

Thanks for the nominations guys.

I would like to nominate Mbax for the HoF. As Zim's first ever U20's manager, he helped to set the ball rolling with the whole youth training programme. This alongside the fact that he won the inaugural Super Zim Cup, has appeared in the National Cup final and being a contender for the Div I playoffs, to me makes him an excellent candidate.

edit
I also forgot to mention that it was Mbax that set up the off-site that we all enjoy so much Very Happy
